As a Pegasus Education tutor, you will deliver high quality, personalised tuition while building strong, trust-based relationships with students. You will support learners not just academically, but also in developing confidence, resilience, and a love of learning. You will be working closely with the leadership team to bring Pegasus Education’s vision to life. There is also opportunity outside of tutoring to join our resource and social content creation.
Expect to start with 4 hours of tutoring each week, with the opportunity to grow as your schedule permits.
Competitive contractor hourly rate, depending on your experience.
Face to face classroom sessions based in Reading, Berkshire, United Kingdom.
Tutoring Dedication
o Conduct engaging weekly English tutoring sessions for KS2 students by building personal connections with the students.
o Develop personalised learning plans tailored to each student's unique needs and goals.
o Use engaging teaching methods such as real-life and pop culture examples to build genuine connection and rapport with students.
Progress Tracking
o Monitor and report on students' progress, adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
o Maintain detailed records of sessions, progress reports, and other required documentation.
o Prepare and present regular progress updates.
Curriculum Confidence
o Stay current with KS2 National curriculum trends and changes.
o Develop and update Pegasus Education recourses.
o Use Pegasus Education resources for a personalised lesson plan.
o Be involved with Pegasus Education’s training workshops and get familiar with relevant resources.
Student Support and Engagement
o Offer kind and clear feedback to progress students' learning and development.
o Collaborate with parents and teachers to offer holistic support for the student.
o Manage enquiries from parents/students and responding to questions.
Availability and Commitment
o Be available for tutoring sessions during agreed-upon hours, particularly after-school hours and weekends.
o Commit to tutoring lasting a school term (12 -13 weeks).

Ability to work on your own - you have outstanding organisational skills and have no issue getting work done independently while maintaining high standards.
Strong interpersonal skills - you feel comfortable having honest (and sometimes hard) conversations with heart, ensuring open and empathetic communication with all stakeholders.
Must have successfully achieved QTS.
